reflex is my graduation prototype for the postgraduate programme in furniture design I took in 2009-2010. more information on www.vomo.be.
this modular and extendable sofa is the result of a process searching for a more sustainable alternative in comfort-seating. reflex is designed for disassembly, and is built with only two materials: beechwood and steel, both recyclable and reusable materials. the bent beechwood strips provide a natural tension strong enough to comfortably support a persons weight, making synthetic foams redundant.
